Seat Ibiza Kit Car EVO 2

History

In 1996, with the Ibiza “Kit Car”, Seat Sport achieved what seemed unthinkable at the beginning of the season. With the Cantabrian Jesús Puras and Erwin Weber as pilots. In the RAC he was also reinforced with the Finn Harri Rovanpera, who was decisive, and in some tests with the Andorran Ferrán Font. The Spanish firm took the world title of Formula 2 brands against much more experienced teams, such as the French Renault and the Czech Skoda.
